The CPOC Foundations First Annual Continuum of Care Reform Conference (CCR) is scheduled for June 12, 2017 in Sacramento. With a focus on implementation specific to juvenile probation, this conference will feature Assembly Member Mark Stone kicking off a panel of state and county association leaders discussing what led to CCR reform and the significant impact it has on juvenile probation.
Breakout sessions will involve county probation departments and other county, court, state and community partners sharing policies, procedures and programs they are implementing to make CCR work.
Topics to be covered include Family Engagement, Foster Parent Recruitment, Resource Family Approval, the Future of Out-of-Home Placements and Creating more Intensive and Specialized Residential Programs for Probation Foster Youth to name just a few. The intent behind the conference is to create an interdisciplinary forum for all stakeholders involved with probation foster youth to explore and examine CCR and how California can create a continuum of care that promotes healthy environments for probation foster youth - and all foster youth - to thrive.
Whether you work for a probation department, the courts, social services, mental health, a school district, a public defenders office, service provider or other partner agency, we are aiming to make this conference relevant for all professionals involved with probation foster youth. We hope you can join us.
